There were strawberries surrounding her, she knew that. She could hear their joyful cries as she came near them. Every step she took fertilized the strawberry patch. She could feel their strawberry hearts pumping. Smiling, Guinevere bent down and reached forwards, touching a leaf. "Where am I?" Gwen asked the plant. Usually they knew. "YOU ARE IN CAMP HAL" Camp Hal? Either that was the name of the camp, or the plant just didn't know the rest of the title. Odd. It usually worked with her tree. Gwen patted her green daggers hidden in her boots, and stood up. This could be enemy territory.

Kali wanted to go somewhere quiet. Peaceful. Away from most people. It was burning hot outside, and the sun was pretty high up in the sky. Half the campers were in their cabins, the other half at the lake or in the forest. Kali didn't think many people were in the strawberry fields at the moment, so that was exactly where she headed towards. The bright red berries seemed to [or was it Kali's overactive imagination?] shy away from the daughter of Hecate with each step she took. Was Kali truly so unlikable even the plants hated her? The redhead shook her hair slightly. She wouldn't be surprised if even the plants hated her. Not many people liked her.
Kali was wrapped up in her thoughts, but did not fail to notice a girl with tousled, curly brown hair. Kali could tell one thing for certain about this girl, onsight. [Because even thought Hecate did it all the time, apparently reading minds was 'rude'.] She was blind. Kali tried walking around with her eyes closed all day. It was pretty easy, she could sense where everything was. But she figured that wasn't the case for non-magical children of the gods, those who weren't children of Hecate.
Unfortunately, this time she was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she didn't notice where she was until she stopped right in front of the girl. Kali looked down. She was the mood to kill someone. Suddenly she realized what she'd just thought, and almost staggered away in horror. Kali wasn't a killer. She only killed when she was little, way back when she had to eat to survive. But not anymore. Kali never killed ever since she came to Camp Half-Blood...but Kalika Moira had.
"And what might you be doing here today?" she asked evenly, getting ready to flash quickly to another spot if the girl attacked. You could never be too cautious, especially with those who appeared seemingly out of thin air, and if you had never seen them before. Now, if it weren't for Hecate's single rule, Kali would've easily pulled the information out of her brain. If gods and goddesses got to read minds, why wasn't she allowed to? Kali could, and quite easily at that. But she figured she had to listen to Hecate on that one. Yippee.

Gwen sensed the girl coming for a while, but pretended not to notice. "My name is Guinevere, and I have been told to come here. My..mother said they would help me." Gwen smiled and stuck out her hand, wondering why the girl's signature was...shaky.

Kali stared blankly at Guinevere's hand. She didn't make any move to shake it. She figured pretty quickly her mother was the goddess. Goddess of what, Kali didn't know, and really didn't care. Kali continued to ignore Guinevere's hand that she still stuck out. "Then you're a demigod," Kali said flatly, not caring really what the girl thought at this point. Everyone ended up avoiding her sooner or later. Forget the simile 'spread like wildfire'. Rumors about Kali spread faster than wildfire.
"Half human, half greek god. Unless you were told this already. Come on." Kali probably wasn't the best choice for a sort of 'wecome committe' [Welcome to Camp Half-Blood! We hope you enjoy your time. Oh, and you're twice as vulnerable as mortals, monsters will try to kill you, and gods will blow you up if you get on their bad side. Have fun!], if you could really call it a welcome commitee. Either way, Kali was never the best camper to greet the new demigods. She would be the worst, except for maybe a self-centered, makeup adict Aphrodite girl.
It hadn't occured to Kali she hadn't introduced herself yet, so she backtracked, and added, rather hastily, "My name is Kali." Nice going, stupid.

Gwen sighed at Kali's reluctance to shake her hand, then closed her misty eyes when Kali mentioned the Camp, and then finally her name. "My mother has already visited me." She mumbled, before following Kali's life signature.

Kali started walking, assuming Gwen would just follow the sound of her footsteps, or whatever the heck. She was blind, and Kali assumed she had been blind for awhile, therefore she had time to get used to not being able to see and having to use her other senses. If Kali assumed correctly, Gwen would know to follow her. "My mother has already visisted me." Kali was already walking pretty slow, so she didn't quicken or slow down her pace at Gwen's words.
"So she's told you everything?" Kali asked bluntly, making it quite evident that if Gwen already knew about demigods, Kali wouldn't talk to her anymore. Kali stopped abruptly, just then. She'd been so concentrated on Gwen she'd let her mental guard down. Kali barely had enough time to think. Her skin turned deathly pale, and if you got the courage to prod her, you'd feel that she was icy cold. Her eyes turned to a bloody red colour surrounded by a ring of yellow. She clenched her hands into fists, her now rather sharp nails digging into her palm. Kalika Moira smiled, showing her two sharp canines.
The demigoddess daughter of Hecate turned slowly. Two daggers slid from her sleeves into her hands, the pale silver and bronze mixed blade glinting eerily in the sunlight. "Too bad you won't live long enough to know what being a demigod has to offer." Without warning, a flaming ball of fire shot towards Gwen's face.

Gwen smiled, "She told me enough." And that's when Gwen heard a sound. Everything suddenly felt slower. Gwen felt the heat coming and she expertly bent backwards, avoiding the fire, but her nose getting slightly scorched. It hurt. There was only one thing Gwen could do. A redwood grew under Kali's feet.

{A redwood is a tree, correct?}
Kalika felt the ground rumble moments before something started sprouting at her feet. Kalika jumped out of the way, her eyes blazing in crazed hatred. Kalika slashed at the air. Her nails seemed to touch nothing, but three gashes appeared on the side of the tree. The tree slowed in its growing. Kalika looked up at the sky. For a moment, her eyes turned electric blue. Thunder rolled across the sky. An invisible force from the air began to push down on the redwood, trying to force it back down into the ground.
Kalika casually stepped around the 'mishap', and faced Gwen, smiling. Her fanged teeth stuck out, her pale skin a little bit shrunken in, giving her the look of a thirsty vampire ready for more human blood...right now. "Most people don't even live past the first blow." That was true. Some people, animals, monsters, nymphs, whatever-had been killed on the first blow, dealt by Kalika Moira. "But you'll die soon."
Kalika slashed in air again. Out of the air where Kalika had slashed, three razor sharp discuses shot towards Gwen at a frightening speed.

Gwen was slowly losing all confidence. And that's when something stopped her. Gwen couldn't read the signature, but she heard the whoosh of air as they zoomed past her. What was happening? Gwen reached down and took out one of her green magical daggers. They could grow, and even reproduce if Gwen wanted them to.

Kalika Moira laughed. A cold, resounding laugh that seemed to echo throughout camp. Was it strange, or mere coincidence that not one camper had heard the ruckus? It was most likely no one wanted to get involved, or be anywhere close to Kalika when she was in control...because they knew that they would die either way. Unluckily, some new camper must've heard the noise and walked over. He had bright orange hair and blue eyes, looked like a son of Hermes.
"Hey! What's going on?" he shouted. Without hesitating the slightest, Kalika whirled around and slashed at the air again. Three more of the razor sharp discuses shot towards the camper. Surprised, and obviously not knowing about Kali's Kalika Moira issue, he didn't have time to move. The three disks opened three large gashes in his chest, and blood cascaded like a waterfall down his shirt. He sank to his knees, eyes wide in horror, before collapsing, out cold and soon to die, from blood loss.

Gwen felt the life signature, and then, she heard the whoosh of air as the objects moved again. And then the other life sign suddenly had about as much life force as the strawberries surrounding her. Wait-strawberries! Gwen wasn't very good with her power, but she knew how to use it. Her fists curled up, and the strawberries rapidly increased in size, soon about ten feet tall. And that's when she decided to speak to them, "Fall! Grow on Human Number 67450330!" And the strawberries fell towards the girl, attempting to squish her seriously.

{I'm ending the fight...I just do this for fun, xD}
Kalika laughed, and spoke again, in a taunting, sarcastic voice. "Getting so stupid now you have to use your precious plants to kill me? Well just you try!" Kalika smiled as the monster-sized strawberries fell on her. A force field surrounded her. The strawberries bounced off harmlessly and rolled on the ground. "How's that?" she asked casually. Her hands started glowing, and she began blasting the strawberries to smithereens, red juice exploding into the air and raining down like pinkish-red drops of blood.
Kalika's force field dissapated, and she turned to smile eerily at Gwen. "Maybe you can go boom next," she said softly, and pointed her glowing hand at the daughter of Auxo...when suddenly the murderous rage died from her eyes. Her hand stopped glowing and it dropped to her side. Immediately Kali looked confused. Her skin was no longer sickly pale, and her eyes were a normal brown. She looked around. Finally she spoke again, indicating some strawberry juice splatters. "Please tell me that's not all blood." Kali sounded sick to her stomach.

Gwen hear her change before she felt it. She went from panting evilly to simply sounding horrified, "In a way. You killed the strawberries." Gwen said with a shrug of her shoulders.

Kali raised and eyebrow. She looked Gwen over. Then she looked back at the pinkish red splatters...strawberry guts, Kali supposed. Whatever she was supposed to call it. "I killed the strawberries," Kali repeated slowly. She was used to Kalika doing crazy things, even if she didn't particularly like it...who was she kidding? She hated it. But killing strawberries? Kalika usually killed people, not sweet red berries.
"But I didn't kill any..body?" she asked, sounding desperate and hopeful. She didn't mean to insult Gwen, she obviously cared for the plants, or whatever. Kali turned around, and tried not to gag when she saw the unmoving body of a rather young camper. He had three gaping wounds on his stomach, unconscious. And pale, too, from all the blood loss. He was in a pool of thick, red liquid. And only an idiot wouldn't know what that was... He was out cold, if not dead already. Kali doubted he was alive. She turned back to Gwen, swallowing.
"Never mind," she mumbled. "Sorry." She completely forgot where she had been leading Gwen and walked off quickly, leaving the new demigoddess to make what she could. Because, of course, just everybody tries to kill you, kills some innocent kid, then comes to her senses, says 'sorry', and leaves. That's just a normal day, isn't it? Well, it was for Kali.
